Our Story
We met each other how more and more couples in the city meet these days -- Online dating. Our first conversation online was about beer -- a theme that continues to this day. We exchanged phone numbers and eventually met for coffee at "The Bean" in East Village after work one day. The coffee was alright, but we ended up walking for a couple of hours in Union Square. Nancy left quite an impression on Richie that day and he refers to this as the "first date".
Richie had a business trip in India for 3 weeks immediately after that date, but we kept in contact. When he returned from India, we met for dinner at "Supper" in East Village. Nancy is a big foodie, and thinks that all good dates need even better food -- Richie also wore a button down shirt and slacks, which is a pretty big deal -- Nancy refers to this as the "first date".
By our fourth date, Richie rented a car and we went on a day trip to Montauk. He is a big fan of the movie "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and thought it was be romantic or something like that. Seven years later, Richie proposed in Montauk and we were happily engaged. I guess the movie was right.
